William H. Lindquist, 85, of 90 Tree House Ln., Wilcox, died early Wednesday morning, June 29, 2016 at The Lutheran Home at Kane following a short illness.
He was born March 13, 1931 in Johnsonburg, son of the late Elmer Eric and Betty Anderson Lindquist.
He resided in Wilcox for the past 15 years and had previously lived in California and Arizona. He was a 1949 graduate of Johnsonburg High School.
He was a Korean War era Army veteran having served overseas in Germany. He also was a member of the American Legion.
He was a draftsman by trade working for Fruehauf Semi Trailer Co. designing tank trailers among other types of trailers and Heflin Corp.
He is survived by a niece, Barbara Bowley of Wilcox; three great-nieces, Christine, Amy and Lisa; and a great-nephew, Bill Bowley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn McMahon.
Funeral services for William H. Lindquist will private and held at the convenience of the family.
Interment will be in Wardvale Methodist Cemetery, Johnsonburg. There will be no visitation.
