Obituary

Virginia A. "Ginny" "Nana" Myers, 79, of 301 High Street, Johnsonburg, died peacefully with her family by her side early Thursday morning, September 29, 2022 at home following a lengthy illness. She was born on July 23, 1943 in Ridgway a daughter to the late Charles and Doris McDonald Wenner. On May 29, 1961 in Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg, she married the love of her life, William F. "Bill" Myers. They were married for 50 years. He preceded her in death on January 11, 2012.

Ginny had lived in Johnsonburg since her marriage, but grew up in Glen Hazel, PA. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church. Ginny always had a smile on her face and a kind word for everyone. She lived life to the fullest. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many dear friends. She enjoyed family get-togethers, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas, baking pies & cookies and stuffing the turkey. Seeing the excitement on everyone's face made her the happiest. Ginny was always willing to help anyone out, and put others' needs and happiness before her own. Ginny liked flowers, being outside, picking blackberries and chatting with the neighbors.
Ginny had retired from Penn Highlands-Elk after 30 years as a CNA. She had also worked as a private duty nurse for many people over the years.

She is survived by a son Mark Myers and his wife Melissa of Johnsonburg, grandchildren Billy Myers, Mark Myers and his wife Lillian, Becca, Mrs. Aaron Riddle, Kiana, Mrs. Mike Crawford, Stacy Parks, Candy Parks, Gary "KO" parks, Christopher "Chuber" Muroski and Mst. Sgt. Casey Grizzard, great-grandchildren Mia Myers, Zoe and Ali Riddle, Jenna Rae Feronti, and Sutton and Sailor Grizzard. She is also survived by a former son-in-law Gary Parks, a brother Wayne Wenner and his wife Theresa of Bradford and sisters Debbie Graham of Altoona and Joy, Mrs. Craig Glover of Altoona and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by daughters Brenda Parks Gerg and Linda Lindgren, brothers Thomas and James Wenner and Paul in infancy and sisters Sandy Hanlon, Rhonda Gordon and Pam Wise.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Virginia A. "Ginny" Myers will be conducted at Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg on Tuesday October 4, 2022 at 10 AM with Fr. David Wilson, Pastor as celebrant. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Johnsonburg.

Friends will be received at the Anthony F Ferragine Funeral Home and Cremation Services Chapel, 401 Chestnut Street Johnsonburg, PA Monday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM.
