Virginia D. Gigliotti, 88, of 727 Penn St., Johnsonburg, died Tuesday (Feb. 3, 2015) morning at Penn Highlands-Elk, St. Marys, following a short illness.

On Sept. 29, 1944, she married Battiste J. Gigliotti. He died Sept. 4, 2010.

Surviving are two daughters, Patricia (David) Atkins of Wakefield, Mass., and Margaret "Peggy" (Winfred) Metcalf of Brunswick, Ohio; four grandchildren, Jennifer and Daniel Atkins, Melissa Tyson and Amanda Metcalf; four great-grandchildren, Nic and Corbon Atkins, Emily Metcalf and Aaron Tyson; and her twin sister, Eugenia Beam of Sun City, Fla.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg, with the Rev. David J. Wilson, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
