Susie M. Imbrogno, 86, of 522 Fourth Ave., Johnsonburg, passed away Friday morning (June 22, 2012) at the Elk Haven Nursing Home in St. Marys, following a brief illness.
Born Feb. 5, 1926, in Johnsonburg, she was a daughter of Rosario "Sam" and Rose Manno Mannella. On June 12, 1948, in the Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg, she married Michael A. Imbrogno, who preceded her in death on July 21, 1986.
Mrs. Imbrogno was a resident of Johnsonburg all her life. She graduated from Johnsonburg High School in 1945. Mrs. Imbrogno was employed at the Bucktail Bank in Johnsonburg for 15 years, retiring in 1998; she also worked at Stackpole Carbon Co. for 18 years and the Elk County Hospital for three years.
She was a member of the Holy Rosary Church, Holy Rosary Funeral Luncheon Committee and the Johnsonburg Senior Center.
She is survived by two sisters, Theresa "Daisy" DiNardo and Madeline Parks, both of Johnsonburg; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Augustine Mannella.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Holy Rosary Church, with the Rev. David J. Wilson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Johnsonburg.
