Steven M. Thiry, 59, of 248 Powers Ave., Johnsonburg, died unexpectedly late Monday afternoon, December 14, 2020 at his residence.

Steve was born in Ridgway on January 17, 1961 a son of Ellen Evans. He was a lifelong resident of Johnsonburg and graduated from Johnsonburg Area High School in 1979. He was a Christian by faith and loved to spend time with his children and family. He loved all kinds of sports and loved to take his truck for rides to enjoy the outdoors.

Steve had been employed at Domtar of Johnsonburg for the past 41 years.

Steve is survived by his mother Ellen Evans of Johnsonburg, his children Ryan Thiry at home and Savannah Thiry, William Feronti, Jr. and Corey Feronti all of Johnsonburg, a granddaughter Hailey Shrefler, a sister Betsy, Mrs. Donny Leader of Johnsonburg, brothers Dan Thiry of Johnsonburg and Tom Thiry of James City and his ex-wife Renee Thiry of Johnsonburg. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

He is predeceased by his maternal grandparents Kenneth and Margaret Evans.

Funeral Services and interment for Steven M. Thiry will be conducted at a later date and at the convenience of the family.
