Rose Rippy, 86, of 1513 Thorpe St., New Castle, formerly of 420 Fourth Ave., Johnsonburg, died Wednesday evening (April 10, 2013) at the residence of her daughter, Mary Ann Wright, following a lengthy illness.

She is survived by two daughters and three sons, Mary Ann (Randy Carbone) Wright of New Castle, Marilyn Rippy of Walnut Port, Frank Rippy of Johnsonburg, Mark Rippy of Fox Chapel and John Rippy of Erie; four grandchildren, Michelle McGuire, Daniel Morcombe Jr., Shannon Neureiter and Scott Wright Jr.; 12 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Helen Mahoney of St. Marys.

Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Anthony F Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Rosary Church with the Rev. David J. Wilson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Johnsonburg.
