Rose M. Liston, 64, of Elk Haven Nursing Home, St. Marys, and formerly of 424 Water Street Ext., Johnsonburg, passed away early Sunday morning, June 22, 2025, at Penn Highlands-Elk, St. Marys following a lengthy illness. She was born on July 20, 1960, in Ridgway, a daughter to the late James T. and Mildred J. Henry Liston.
A lifelong resident of Johnsonburg, she had been a resident of Elk Haven since August of 2024. She was a 1978 graduate of Johnsonburg Area High School, was a member of the Hallton Church of Christ and had been a member of the Johnsonburg Senior Center.
Rose loved her cousins and loved to go on shopping trips.
She had worked at ELCAM for several years.
Rose is survived by her cousins and their families, Sandra Gerber (Gary) of Ridgway, Cheryl Kocjancic (Rudy) of Leeper, Ruth Pennington of Johnsonburg, Paula Brunell of Syracuse, David Henry (Mara) of Dallas, TX, Becky Henry of Syracuse, Carol Henry of Syracuse, Kevin Morse of NY and Debbie Poinelli of ID.
In addition to her parents, Rose is predeceased by cousins Barbara Henry, Karen Morse and Larry Stump.
Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral service for Rose M. Liston to be conducted at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home and Cremation Services Chapel, 401 Chestnut Street, Johnsonburg, on Wednesday July 2, 2025, at 11 AM with Paston Ronald Burkett of the Hallton Church of Christ as officiant.
Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM until service time at 11 AM on Wednesday morning July 2, 2025.
