Regis R. Yeager, 67, of 1048 Brechtel Rd., Rasselas, died early Wednesday morning, Dec. 24, 2014 at his residence following a short illness.
He was born May 11, 1947 in Spangler, son of the late Archibald and Ruby Myers Yeager.
On July 2, 1990 in St. Marys, he married Sandra Brechtel, and she survives.
He resided in the Wilcox-Rasselas area since he was 18. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1967.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Church, and the Ridgway Fire Department for 16 years. He loved hunting, fishing and farming.
He was employed by St. Marys Carbon Co. for 33 years before retiring in 2000.
In addition to his wife at home, he is survived by two daughters, Melissa, Mrs. Albert Wells of Johnsonburg, and Tiffany, Mrs. Charles Spangler of Hermitage; one son, Frederick Yeager and his wife Lesley of Ridgway; five grandchildren, Patrick Desmond, Brandon and Matthew Ehrensberger, Destiney Yeager and Robert Spangler; one brother, Robert Yeager and his wife Joanne of Ridgway; and one sister, Barbara Herman of Hopatcong, N.J.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, John Herman.
Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral service for Regis R. Yeager to be conducted at the Anthony Ferragine F. Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015 at 10 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. David J. Wilson, pastor of Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg.
Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Rasselas. There will be no visitation.
