Patricia Jean Fowler, 74, of Pinecrest Manor, St. Marys and formerly of 101 North Broad Street, Ridgway and Philadelphia, died early Tuesday morning, January 11, 2022 at Penn Highlands-DuBois following a brief illness. She was born in Ridgway a daughter to the late Robert W. Fowler, Sr. and Mary Jean McConnell Fowler Gigliotti. Patty has lived at Pinecrest for the past several months. She had lived in Ridgway for 5 years and had lived most of her life in Philadelphia.
She was a 1965 graduate of Johnsonburg Area High School and a was member of the Johnsonburg First Baptist Church. She was a member of the Wilcox Senior Center and was a past president of the Idler's Club at the Ridgway High Rise. Patty loved photography and was an avid reader. She was also one who loved to send greeting cards to everyone she knew, for any occasion and she was known to sometimes tease her recipients with some Scotch taped corners or edges. The family asks that anyone wishing to honor Patty, they send a card to someone they know and brighten their day.
Patty had retired from Community Nurses Inc. of Elk Co. in 2013 as a Home Health Aide after 5 years of service. Prior to that, she had worked for 35 years at North East Hospital in Philadelphia as a Nursing Secretary. She had also worked at Andrew Kaul Memorial Hospital for 5 years.
She is survived a sister, Kathleen Fowler Gardner and her husband Michael of Howard, PA and a brother Robert W. "Beans" Fowler, Jr. and his wife Joyce of Wilcox. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is pre-deceased by a brother Raymond W. Fowler in infancy.
Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service for Patricia J. Fowler to be conducted at the Johnsonburg First Baptist Church, First Avenue and Spruce Street, Johnsonburg on Saturday January 15, 2022 at 2 PM with the Rev. Dan Reigel, Pastor as celebrant. Interment will be in Wilcox Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
