Pamela J.
Schreiber
Oct 31, 1944 — Sep 4, 2025
St. Marys
Pamela J. Schreiber, 80, of 245 Ford Road, St. Marys, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday afternoon, September 4th after a lengthy illness.
Born on October 31, 1944, in Reynoldsville, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Jennings Stewart and the late Irene Mulhollan Stewart. She grew up in St. Marys and was a lifelong resident of the community she loved.
Pam graduated from St. Marys Area High School in 1962. She was employed by Sylvania for many years, where she formed countless lifelong friendships, especially her dear friend Kitty, whom she cherished. She was also a proud member the St. Marys Methodist Church and the Vietnam Veterans of America.
On June 22, 2002, Pam married the love of her life, Gary T. Schreiber, with whom she shared 18 wonderful years. Pam was devoted to her home and family. She especially loved baking cakes and treats for special occasions, often joking if the smoke alarm went off, that meant dinner was ready. Gary was particularly fond of her leftovers. Some of her happiest moments were spent in the kitchen with her grandchildren, baking, and sharing stories of the day.
She is survived by two children: James Pesce of Reidsville, NC and Deborah (Steve) Wickett of Kersey, Pa, and a stepson: Doug (Diane) Schreiber; five grandchildren: Parker (Andrea), Tiffany, Brandy Wickett, Keri (Kyle) Williams, and Garrett Schreiber; and one great-granddaughter, Kenleigh Williams. She loved each of them dearly.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased in death by one brother, Arthur Stewart Jr., and two sisters, Shirley A. Stewart, and Marlene Horm.
Honoring Pam's wishes, she chose cremation – saying it would finally give her a "smoking hot body." She requested no formal services.
Arrangements are under direction of the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 401 Chestnut Street, Johnsonburg.
If desired, memorial contributions should be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation at garysinisefoundation.org
