Norman E. Tillack, 82, of 1163 Dill Hill Road, passed away unexpectedly at Penn Highlands-Elk, St. Marys on Thursday May 26, 2022. Norman was born in Johnsonburg on March 20, 1940 a son to the late Herman and Clara DeWald Tillack. On November 5, 1983 in the Johnsonburg First Baptist Church he married Linda M. Airgood and she survives.
A lifelong resident of Johnsonburg, he was a 1958 graduate of Johnsonburg High School. While growing up, he worked along side his dad on the family farm and continued to farm until his death. He owned and operated Tillack Funeral Coach Rental for 43 years in addition to an auto mechanic shop. Additionally through the years he had worked for Redmond Brothers Concrete delivering concrete and as a bus driver getting people to work and children to school.
Norman was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, he was a life member of Central Hose Co., at one time serving as Assistant Fire Chief, he had been a member of the James W. Brown F & A M for more than 50 years and is currently a member of the Kane Lodge 566 F & A M and was currently serving on the Ridgway Twp. Planning Commission.
Norman is survived by his wife Linda M. Tillack at home, his son Andrew Tillack and his girlfriend Courtney Cox of Johnsonburg and a sister-in-law Clarice Tillack of Danville, VA and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a son Herman Arthur Tillack, a brother Robert Tillack and 2 sisters, Pearl Ryan and Natalie Daniels.
A Funeral Service for Norman E. Tillack will be conducted at St. John Lutheran Church, Johnsonburg on Wednesday June 1, 2022 at 11 AM with Pastor Stephen Fair as celebrant. Interment will follow in Wardvale Methodist Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the Anthony F Ferragine Funeral Home and Cremation Services Chapel 401 Chestnut Street Johnsonburg, PA on Tuesday evening, May 31, 2022 from 5 to 8 PM.
Kane Lodge 566 F & A M will conduct a Masonic Funeral Service at the funeral home Tuesday evening at 7:45.
