Mary Ann Pennington, 86 of 139 Julia Street, Johnsonburg, passed away Thursday afternoon, April 9, 2026, at The Lutheran Homa at Kane, following a lengthy illness. She was born January 22, 1940, in Johnsonburg, a daughter to the late Max and Amelia Bodistow Pavlock.

A lifelong resident of Johnsonburg, Mary Ann was a graduate of Johnsonburg High School. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church and the Johnsonburg Senior Center. She retired with over 40 years  of service as a school bus driver for the Johnsonburg School District. Driving the bus was an especially joyful time in her life.

Mary Ann enjoyed spending time at the Senior Center making coffee and making lunch on Tuesdays. She also spent much of her free time there socializing and enjoying the companionship.

Mary Ann is survived by a son, James Pennington (Robin) of Ridgway and a daughter Julie Ann Pennington of St. Marys and grandchildren Kalene Boleen (Kyle) of Brockway and Cheyenne Reinsburrow of Johnsonburg. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, Mason Mazulla, Mackenzie and Andrew Boleen and Kiya, Layla and Abigail Reinsburrow and a brother Art Pavlock (Mary Kay) and a sister Connie Steudler both of Johnsonburg and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mary Ann is predeceased by a son John Pennington, her brother Stanley "Stash" Pavlock, sisters Josephine Pavlock and Patricia Janoski and a son-in-law Alex Reinsburrow.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Ann Pennington will be conducted at Holy Rosary Church on Thursday April 16, 2026 at 10:30 AM with Fr. David Wilson, Pastor as celebrant. Interment will follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home and Cremation Services Chapel, 401 Chestnut Street, Johnsonburg, PA on Thursday morning from 9 to 10 AM.
