Obituary

Martin J. Tomaski, Jr., 84, of Ogrin Rd., Highland, and formerly of Johnsonburg, passed away early Saturday morning, May, 2, 2026, at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was born January 11, 1942, in Ridgway, a son to the late Martin J. Tomaski, Sr. and Mildred Lynch Tomaski.

A lifelong resident of the area, Martin has lived in Highland for the past 22 years. He was a 1960 graduate of Johnsonburg High School.

Martin enjoyed his peace and quiet at his home in the woods, and sharing it with his family and friends. He was a member of the Wilcox Sportsmen’s Club and the Wilcox American Legion Post 467 and loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and gardening.

Martin had work for many years at GTE-Sylvania in St. Marys, retiring in1978.

Martin is survived by his children, Scott Tomaski of Johnsonburg, Christine Rapp of Ridgway and Wayne Tomaski and his longtime companion Beth Beck of Austin. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Martin is predeceased by a sister, Helen Bauer and her husband Mike Bauer and a brother William L. Tomaski.

Funeral services and interment for Martin J. Tomaski, Jr., will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 401 Chestnut Street, Johnsonburg.
