Marcy M. Hodgdon, 39, of 213 Faries St., Wilcox, died Thursday afternoon (June 7, 2012) at Elk Regional Health Center, St. Marys.
Born May 19, 1973, in Ridgway, she was a daughter of Kenneth and Joyce Oertly Finn. On July 20, 2006, she married William J. Hodgdon, who survives.
She resided in the Wilcox area all of her life. She was a 1991 graduate of Johnsonburg Area High School. She was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for seven years. She had also worked part-time for Fox's Pizza of Johnsonburg.
She was Lutheran by faith. She was a caring and thoughtful person whose children were the love of her life. She also loved animals, Penn State and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her parents, of Wilcox; children, Scott Martinez, Alyse Martinez and Carly Martinez, all of Johnsonburg, and Kalissa Hodgdon of Wilcox; a stepdaughter, Samantha Hodgdon of Kane; a brother, Kenneth E. (companion Jackie) Finn Jr. of Wilcox; her maternal grandmother, Selma Oertly of Mount Jewett; and several aunts and uncles and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Stephen Fair, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church, Johnsonburg, officiating. Burial will be in Wilcox Cemetery
