Madeline A. "Mac" Parks, 91, of 806 Market St., Johnsonburg, died Monday morning, June 1, 2015 at Pinecrest Manor in St. Marys.
She was born March 9, 1924 in Johnsonburg, daughter of the late Samuel and Rose Manno Mannella.
She married Kenneth Parks on Oct. 4, 1948 in Holy Rosary Church. He died Nov. 9, 2011.
She resided in Johnsonburg all her life and was a 1943 graduate of Johnsonburg High School. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church and the Johnsonburg Senior Center, and was a longtime member of the Kane Country Club where she was an avid golfer.
She had been employed by Stackpole Carbon Co., Pelps, Kemper Pharmacy in both Johnsonburg and Ridgway and Thorco Bottling Co. where she retired in 1983.
She is survived by a daughter, Christine "Chris," Mrs. Scott Bressler of Johnsonburg; her grandsons, Joshua Elmquist and his wife Laura Jo and Daniel "Dan" Elmquist and his wife Jami, all of Johnsonburg; and seven great-grandchildren, Gavin, Evey, Sofia, Lana, Mason and Chloe Elmquist.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Augustin Mannella in the Korean War; and two sisters, Susie Imbrogno and Theresa DiNardo.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial for Madeline A. "Mac" Parks to be conducted at Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg on Monday, June 8 at 10 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. Eric Vogt, pastor of Sacred Heart Parish, St. Marys. Interment will be in Wardvale Methodist Cemetery, Johnsonburg. Friends will be received at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg on Monday morning from 9-9:45 a.m.
