Lois J. Steudler, 85, of 517 Woodland Ave., Johnsonburg, died Friday morning, Jan. 27, 2017 at her residence following a lengthy illness.
She was born May 18, 1931 in Johnsonburg, daughter of the late William and Eva M. Ciroli McGonigal.
She married George A. Steudler in 1947 and he died in 1977. She resided in Johnsonburg all her life and had attended Johnsonburg Area High School.
Lois was a member of Holy Rosary Church and the Johnsonburg Senior Center. She was employed by the Market Basket in Johnsonburg before retiring in 1990.
She is survived by a daughter, Lynn M. Bigley of Endicott, New York; her grandchildren, Michelle, Mrs. Brian Sherwood, Shari, Mrs. Kenneth McGraw, William Steudler and his wife Meghan and Amanda, Mrs. Mike Manfredi; and 11 great-grandchildren, Morgan, Madison, Joey and Jon Sherwood, Alicia, Lucas and Hailey McGraw, Sarina and Sydney Steudler and Morgan and Kol Manfredi
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, David Steudler; and a brother, George McGonigal.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial for Lois J. Steudler to be conducted Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 10 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg. Officiating will be Rev. Eric Vogt, pastor of Sacred Heart Church, St. Marys. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Johnsonburg. There will be no visitation.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg.
