Obituary

Lawrence A. "Larry" Dickinson, 78, formerly of 78 Dicks Road, Wilcox, died early Saturday morning, August 14, 2021 at the residence of his son in Ridgway, following a illness of the past 8 months.

He was born on November 27, 1942 in Kane, PA a son of the late Paul and Kathryn Weidert Dickinson.

He had lived in Wilcox since 1993 and had lived in Ridgway for 20 years prior. He had spent most of his early life in the Wilcox area as well. He was a 1960 graduate of Wilcox High School.

Larry loved his grandchildren and loved spending time with them. He had given special nick-names to each of them. He loved to spend time with his family and was an avid outdoorsman and trapper. He was a member of the Rocky Run Lease and the Mt. Jewett American Legion.

He was a Vietnam Era Army Vet serving overseas as an SP4 with Co A 32nd Signal BN.
In 1997, he retired from National Fuel Co. after 25 years of service. He had previously worked as a Telephone Service Installer for the phone company and travelled all over the country installing large scale phone systems. He had also worked at the Wilcox Tannery.


Larry is survived by his son Jason Dickinson and his wife Megan of Ridgway and their three children Kellen "Dude", Tarryn "Tootsie" and Declan "Buddy Butt" Dickinson.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a sister Donna Guiffrida.

Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral service for Larry Dickinson to be conducted at the Anthony Ferragine Funeral Home and Cremation Services Chapel on Thursday August 19, 2021 at 11 AM. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Rasselas.


Friends will be received at the Anthony F Ferragine Funeral Home and Cremation Services Chapel 401 Chestnut Street Johnsonburg, Pa Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM.

Military honors will be accorded by the Johnsonburg-Ridgway Servicemen's Details. Detail members are asked to assemble at the funeral home on Thursday morning at 10:30 AM.
