Obituary

Kathleen A. Yonker, 91, of 2540 Wilcox Rd., Johnsonburg, died early Monday morning, Nov. 6, 2017 at her residence following a lengthy illness.

She was born Aug. 16, 1926 in Johnsonburg, daughter of the late Charles and Marie McDaniel Bloam.
She married Robert A. Yonker on Sept. 10, 1947 in Johnsonburg. He preceded her in death May 29, 1988.

She resided in Johnsonburg all her life and graduated from Johnsonburg Area High School in 1944.

She was a member of Holy Rosary Church, Holy Rosary Senior Choir for over 70 years, CD of A, funeral luncheon committee and various other church organizations. She was also a member of the Johnsonburg Senior Center. She loved baking cakes, playing cards, music and singing.
She had worked at Warren National Bank, Johnsonburg, had waited tables at Bloam's Tavern, worked at the Johnsonburg Tastee Freeze and Bauer's Fashions.

She is survived by three sons, Charles "Chuck" Yonker and his wife Rebecca of Glen Hazel, Michael Yonker of Farmington, New Mexico and Robert Yonker and his wife Karen of Santa Fe, New Mexico; one daughter, Mary Kay, Mrs. Larry Saline of Johnsonburg; her grandchildren, Amy Thomas, Belinda Lison, Larry Saline Jr. and Amanda Yonker Hanes; her great-grandchildren, Katie and Benjamin Yonker, Keyden Hanes, Nathan Schultz, Patricia Saline and Mary Grace and Hayleith Lison; one sister, Charlotte Cicuzza of Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Emily Yonker; a brother, Charles "Bud" Bloam; and a sister, Ellen Rita Pistner.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Kathleen A. Yonker will be conducted at a later date and time to be announced and will be conducted at Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg. There will be no visitation. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Johnsonburg.

Arrangements are under direction of the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg.
