Kaitlyn M. Buerk, 24, of 1334 Buena Vista Hwy., Wilcox, died Thursday afternoon, March 30, 2017 at her residence.

She was born June 26, 1992 in St. Marys, daughter of Daniel Buerk and Jean Muroski Buerk.

She resided in Wilcox all her life and was a 2011 graduate of Johnsonburg Area High School. She attended the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. Kaitlyn had been a member of St. Anne-Holy Rosary Church and had been employed by GTE Sylvania of St. Marys.
She is survived by her mother, Jean Muroski Buerk and her fiance Norman Vinner of Wilcox; her father, Daniel Buerk and his wife Barbara of St. Marys; her sisters, Allison, Mrs. Jason Miller of Byrnedale, Hope Buerk of Erie and Jessica Buerk and Abby Vinner both at home; one niece; three nephews; her stepsisters, Caitlyn Vinner of Windber and Tonya, Mrs. Jake Himes of Ridgway; her stepbrothers, Justin Vinner of Alexandria, Virginia and Tim Smith of St. Marys; and six step-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents.
A private funeral service for Kaitlyn M. Buerk will be conducted Monday, April 3 at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg. Officiating will be Rev. David J. Wilson, pastor of Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no visitation.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home.
