Obituary

Joseph L. "Jagg" VonArx, 55, of 1590 Burning Well Rd., Wilcox, died Saturday afternoon, Nov. 30, 2013 at Kane Community Hospital in Kane.

He was born Nov. 26, 1958 in Kane, son of the late Keith VonArx and Patricia Machowiak VonArx Feronti.
He resided in Wilcox most of his life, and was formerly of St. Marys and Thermopolis, Wyo. He was a member of Wilcox Sportsmen's Club, Wilcox Legion, and had been employed by Redmond's Redi-Mix for 10 years, ECI Construction for many years, and had also worked for drilling companies in Wyoming for many years.

He is survived by his partner, Denise Herzing of Wilcox; a daughter, Melissa VonArx of Reynoldsville; two step-daughters, Krista Detwiler and Angelee Herzing, both of Wilcox; four grandchildren, Christian, Micayla and Landon Martin and Dalton Detwiler; one sister, Jill, Mrs. Eric Koski of Elmira, N.Y.; one brother, John "Chet" VonArx of Rock Springs, Wyo.; and two nephews, Jack and Elliott Koski.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Funeral Service for Joseph L. "Jagg" VonArx will be conducted at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. Mark Cantaral, Pastor of Wilcox Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in Wilcox Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut Street, Johnsonburg, on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday morning from 10 a.m. to service time at 11 a.m.
