Joan L. Hoyt Gilmore, 75, of 80 Oak St., Wilcox, died Monday morning (Dec. 16, 2013) at Kane Community Hospital following a short illness.

On Feb. 14, 1970, in the Wilcox Lutheran Church, she married Joseph R. Gilmore, who died July 9, 2007.

Surviving are two sons, Charles "Chuck" Hoyt and Wayne Hoyt, both of Wilcox; a daughter, Crystal Esclrich of Austin; three stepsons, Joseph (Regina) Gilmore of Johnsonburg, Gary Gilmore of St. Marys and James (Tina) Gilmore of Stella, N.C.; three stepdaughters, Ann (Donald) Franco of Johnsonburg, Collette Giaquinto and Carol (Doug) Doty all of Fort Myers, Fla.; four grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 18 stepgrandchildren; and 20 stepgreat-grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Stephen Fair, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church of Johnsonburg, officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Ridgway.
