Helen E. Lemmon, age 97, a resident of Elk Haven Nursing Home and formerly of 3628 Mefferts Run Road, Wilcox, died the morning of Sept. 13, 2019, at Elk Haven Nursing Home in St. Marys following a lengthy illness.

She was born July 19, 1922 in Johnsonburg, daughter of the late Marshall Q. and Lila G. Beck O'Rourke.
She married Robert McEliheney in 1949, who preceded her in death in 1963. She married Robert G. Lemmon in 1966 and he died in 1980.
She resided in Wilcox since 1966. She attended Johnsonburg schools.

She was a member of the Wilcox Presbyterian Church and Wilcox Senior Center. She enjoyed being a homemaker. She loved playing cards with her card group, especially Cinch and also playing bingo.

She owned and operated the McFarland House in Wilcox for 10 years before retiring in 1987. She had also worked at Stackpole Carbon Co. for 18 years and at the Bragg Hotel for 10 years.

She is survived by two step-daughters, Judith Keith of Commodore, and Vonda Cline of Columbia, Maryland; four step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death her parents; husbands; son, Mark McEliheney; brothers, Bernard, Norman, Morris, Walter, Calvin "Jiggs" and Marshall C. "Cecil" O'Rourke; and sisters, Shirley DanJoy and Colleen McCamey.

A Funeral Service for Helen E. Lemmon will be conducted at Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home on Wednesdy, Sept. 18, 2019 at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. Mark Cantaral of the Wilcox Presbyterian Church. Interment will be at the Wilcox Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home at 401Chestnut Street Johnsonburg, PA, on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m.
