Helen Johanna Imbrogno, 92, of 636 Second Ave., Johnsonburg, died Saturday morning, Sept. 6, 2014 at her residence following a brief illness.
She was born March 7, 1922 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Lawrence and Margaret Stebich.
On Sept. 25, 1954 in St. Mary's Church, St. Marys, she married Carl Imbrogno and he survives.
She resided in Johnsonburg since her marriage. She lived her childhood in St. Marys with her grandparents Henry and Henrietta Finfinger.
She attended St. Marys Catholic Schools and attended Holy Rosary Church where she was a member of the funeral luncheon committee. She was a homemaker where she was a loving mother and wife.
In addition to her husband at home, she is survived by two sons, Rich Imbrogno and his wife Naomi of Roosevelt Island, New York City, N.Y. and David Imbrogno and his wife Mary Helen of Johnsonburg; a daughter, Carla Imbrogno at home; granddaughters Stephanie, Mrs. Jason McCauley of Mt. Jewett and Jessica Imbrogno of Gibsonia; brothers-in-law Louis and John Imbrogno, both of Johnsonburg; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Ben Imbrogno; a brother, Hilary Stebich and his wife Martha; brothers-in-law Joseph Imbrogno and his wife Dolly, Mike Imbrogno and his wife Susie and Peter Imbrogno and his wife Evelyn; and sisters-in-law Mary Imbrogno Hill and her husband Gene, Rose Imbrogno and Regina Imbrogno. She was the last surviving member of her family.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Helen J. Imbrogno will be conducted at Holy Rosary Church on Wednesday, Sept. 10 at 10 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. David J. Wilson, pastor. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Johnsonburg. Friends will be received at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg, on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m.
