Harold E. Schlimm, 86, of 1355 Stony Hill Rd., Wilcox, and formerly of Johnsonburg, died Sunday afternoon, January 30, 2022 at Penn Highlands-DuBois following a brief illness.
He was born on February 23, 1935 in St. Marys a son to the late Gregory and Margaret Nissel Schlimm. On September 7, 1957 in Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg he married Barbara S. Price. She preceded him in death on May 29, 1997.
Harold has lived Wilcox for the past 20 years and had previously lived in Johnsonburg since 1959. He graduated High School in St. Marys in 1953. Harold was a member of Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg. Harold enjoyed the outdoors and loved to work in his vegetable garden and hunt and fish. He also enjoyed working on projects around the house.
Harold retired from ARC Metals after over 20 years of service. He had also worked previously at Willamette Industries-Johnsonburg Paper Mill, the Johnsonburg Community Center and he had worked at Stackpole Carbon Co. in St. Marys for over 23 years.
He is survived by three sons; Michael E. Schlimm of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Lawrence A."Larry" Schlimm of Wilcox and Carl F. Schlimm and his wife Jimette of Great Falls, Montana, five grandchildren; Lorraine Schlimm, Mallory, Mrs. Mark Brumley, Riley Schlimm, Sarah Schlimm and Samantha Schlimm and two great-grandchildren; Grayson and Gwenyth Brumley. He is also survived by a sister Ruth Irwin of St. Marys and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Harold is predeceased by brothers John, Greg, Harrison (his twin), Robert and James Schlimm and sisters Dorothy Mulcahy, Margaret Eckert, Patty Bauer, Theresa Secor and Mary Grace Zitzler.
Funeral services for Harold E. Schlimm will be conducted at a later date and time and will be announced by the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home and Cremation Services 401 Chestnut Street, Johnsonburg. There will be no visitation.
Interment will be private in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Johnsonburg
