Obituary

Grace C. Yonosko, 95, of 477 Monroe Rd., Sarver, died Tuesday morning, March 3, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot following a brief illness. She had been under the care of the Concordia-Good Samaritan Home Hospice Ministry for several years.
She was born July 11, 1919 in Ridgway, daughter of the late John and Mary Bosnik Stauss.

She married Michael E. "Mike" Yonosko on June 5, 1945, he died Aug. 7, 2004.

She was a resident of Sarver for the past 10 years. She lived in Ridgway since 1986 and was formerly of Johnsonburg.
She was a graduate of St. Leo's Catholic High School, and she graduated from Ora Jean's Beauty Academy in Erie.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Cabot. She was a former member of Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg and St. Leo's Church in Ridgway. She loved to play Scrabble and cards, and to do jigsaw puzzles and polkas. She also owned and operated two beauty shops, one in Johnsonburg and one in Ridgway.

She is survived by two sons, John Yonosko and his wife Maxine of Cabot and James Yonosko and his wife Sue of Macedon, N.Y.; one daughter, Lynn, Mrs. John Bird of Sarver; five grandsons; five granddaughters; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Martha Laughner and Edith Fedus, both of Ridgway, and Dorothy Moline of Port Charlotte, Fla.; and by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Ronold Yonosko; a daughter, Paula Crary; five brothers, John, Frank, Louis, Carl, and Albin Strauss; and four sisters, Antoinette Clopp, Mary Poklar, Alice Thompson and Anna Parana.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Grace Yonosko will be conducted at St. Leo Magnus Church on Saturday, March 7 at 1 p.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Brian Vossler, pastor.

Interment will be at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Johnsonburg.
Friends will be received at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg, on Friday, March 6 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
