Doris E. Geer, 92, of 253 Powers Avenue, Johnsonburg, died Thursday afternoon, April 7, 2022 at Elk Haven Nursing Home, St. Marys following a short Illness. She was born on September 27, 1929 in Johnsonburg a daughter to the late Alfred and Colletta Schatz Chiesa. On June 20, 1949 in Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg she married Loren J. Geer. He preceded her in death on February 22, 2007.

A lifelong resident of Johnsonburg, Doris had attended Johnsonburg High School and was a member of Holy Rosary Church. She enjoyed her life as a homemaker, wife, mother and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Doris is survived by her two daughters; Leslie, Mrs. Robert Meyer of Deerfield Beach, FL and Jama, Mrs. Lance Rezmerski of Johnsonburg, grandchildren; Robert Meyer, Ryan Meyer and his fiancé Melissa Weidenfeller, Aaron Rezmerski and his wife Rachel and Alex Rezmerski and his fiancé Lauren Coleman and great-grandchildren Nora and Owen Rezmerski. She is also survived by a brother Gerald Chiesa and his wife Nancy of Johnsonburg and sisters; Bernadette Schatz of St. Marys and Carol Gay of Lancaster and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Doris is predeceased by brothers Robert and Melvin Chiesa.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Doris E. Geer will be conducted at Holy Rosary Church on Tuesday April 19, 2022 at 10 AM with Fr. David Wilson, Pastor as celebrant. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
