Beverly A. Williamson, 80, of 200 Cushing Ave., Johnsonburg, died Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 27, 2018 at Kane Community Hospital, Kane, following a brief illness.
She was born Sept. 12, 1937 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Francis M. "Pete" and Kathryn Eckert Herbstritt.
She married Raymond Williamson on Oct. 3, 1954. He died in October 1980.
She resided in Johnsonburg since 1954 and had attended St. Marys public schools.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Church and loved playing bingo and flower gardening. She had also enjoyed fishing trips with her husband.
She had been employed by Keystone Thermometrics, retiring in 1999 after many years of service. She had also worked for Keystone Carbon Co. and Stackpole Carbon Co.
She is survived by four sons, Daniel Williamson of Benezette, Dane Williamson and his wife Becky of Johnsonburg, Al Williamson of St. Marys and Scott Williamson and his wife Debbie of Johnsonburg; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lorraine, Mrs. Jay Fater of Northlake, Texas.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Kay Garner; a grandson; a great-grandson; and a brother, David Herbstritt.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial for Beverly A. Williamson to be held Monday, March 5 at 10 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg. Officiating will be Rev. David J. Wilson, pastor.
Interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, St. Marys. There will be no visitation.
Arrangements are under direction of the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg.
