Beatrice "Betty" Casilio, 87, of 730 Spruce St., Johnsonburg, died Friday evening, June 5, 2015 at Kane Community Hospital in Kane.
He was born Nov. 28, 1927 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Albert and Emma Yonkie Cheatle.

On April 12, 1945 in Sacred Heart Church, St. Marys, she married Umbert J. "Scrap" Casilio. He died Sept. 25, 2006.

She resided in Johnsonburg since 1945 and had attended St. Marys Area High School.

She was a member of Holy Rosary Church and was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family and shopping with her daughters. She had worked at Andrew Kaul Memorial Hospital for 21 years before retiring after 21 years in 1987 as a nurse aide/physical therapy assistant.

She is survived by three sons, Albert "Butch" Casilio and his wife Denise of Johnsonburg, Lawrence "Larry" Casilio and his wife Karen of Wilcox, and Edward Casilio and his wife Jill of Johnsonburg; four daughters, Nancy, Mrs. Donald DeAngelo of Wilcox, Suzanne, Mrs. David Lenze of St. Marys, Janet, Mrs. Joseph Brunner of Ridgway, and Kathleen, Mrs. Paul Palkovic of Myerstown; 18 grandchildren, Shawn DeAngelo and his wife Juli, Dawn, Mrs. Andrew Zimmerman, Krista DeAngelo, Danielle, Mrs. Mike Meholic, Ginette Watts, Jesse Casilio and his wife LeAnn, Corey Casilio and his wife Amy, Jamie, Mrs. Chuck DeStephano, Scott Casilio and his wife Janelle, Marty Casilio and his wife Michelle, Bryon Casilio, Tony Casilio and his wife Angela, Jason Casilio and his wife Charissa, Nicole Casilio, Todd Walters and his wife Jana, Josh Walters and his wife Molly, Lindsay, Mrs. Shawn Curtin and Ashley Palkovic; 30 great-grandchildren; and one stepsister, Marjorie "Marge" Renwick of St. Marys.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Richard Casilio; two grandsons, Mark and Andrew Casilio; two brothers, Dick and Vernon Cheatle; and nine step-brothers and sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Beatrice "Betty" Casilio will be conducted at Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg on Wednesday, June 10 at 10 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. Eric Vogt, pastor of Sacred Heart Parish, St. Marys. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Johnsonburg.

Friends will be received at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg on Tuesday evening, June 9 from 6-8 p.m.
