Barbara Jean Rindos, 84, of Ridgmont Personal Care, Ridgway, and formerly of Glen Hazel Road, Johnsonburg, died Saturday night, December 26, 2020, at Ridgmont following a lengthy illness.
She was born January 2, 1936, in Johnsonburg a daughter of the late John J. and Anna Marie Lovas Rindos.
She was a lifelong resident of Johnsonburg and was a 1953 graduate of Johnsonburg High School. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church, the Johnsonburg Senior Center and Central Hose Co. She loved to spend time socializing with her friends especially playing bingo.
Barbara retired in 1990 from Texas Gulf Corp. after 37 years of service. She had also worked for Armstrong Forest Co. at the Johnsonburg Paper Mill location for many years.
She is survived by a sister, Helen, Mrs. Ed Gazdik of Pittsburgh; a niece Elaine Gazdik of Pittsburgh; and two nephews, Joseph Gazdik and his wife Laura of Pittsburgh, and Sam Samsel III of Voorhies, New Jersey. Three great-nephews and a cousin, Michael "Mike" Pura and his wife Carol of Johnsonburg, also survive.
She was predeceased by her parents and a sister, Mary Ann Samsel.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial for Barbara J. Rindos to be conducted at Holy Rosary Church on Wednesday December 30, 2020, at 10 a.m. with Fr. David J. Wilson, pastor, officiating.
Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Johnsonburg.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no visitation and anyone attending Mass is asked to wear a mask and adhere to the church social distancing suggestions.
