Anne M. Robuck, 95, of 409 Mill St., Johnsonburg, died Saturday morning, July 29, 2017 at Penn Highlands Elk in St. Marys.
She was born March 23, 1922 in a pioneer logging encampment operated by her father and mother, the late Joseph and Angela Rote Pirman. The camp was a temporary structure located near Sheffield and was accessible only by horses.
She married Louis A. Robuck on Aug. 26, 1951 in Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg. He died May 22, 2010.
Anne resided in Johnsonburg her entire life and graduated from Johnsonburg Area High School in 1940 as Salutatorian of her class.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Church where she served on the Funeral Luncheon Committee. She was a volunteer at the Elk County Christian Cafeteria for many years. She was a member of SNPJ (Slovene National Benefit Society). She had been a member of the Central Hose Company Auxiliary and VFW Volunteer Auxiliary.
She had worked at Stackpole Carbon Company in Johnsonburg for 10 years.
She is survived by five sons, Louis A. Robuck of Johnsonburg, Mark J. Robuck and his wife Lynelle of Chadds Ford, Stephen J. Robuck and his wife Carol of Nashville, Tennessee, John A. Robuck and his wife Linda of Ridgway and Daniel C. Robuck and his wife Claudia of West Chester; 14 grandchildren, Mark Joseph Robuck Jr., Jessica L. McGranahan and Anna R. and Austin J. Robuck, Matthew, Michael and Timothy Robuck, Marissa, Andrew, Valerie and Katie Robuck and Thaddeus, Ambrose and Camille Robuck; two great-grandchildren, Mark Joseph Robuck III and Sophia Robuck; one sister, Angela, Mrs. Joseph Wolfe of Kane; and one brother, Anthony Pirman of Johnsonburg.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Pirman Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Anne M. Robuck will be conducted Friday, Aug. 4 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg. Officiating will be Rev. David J. Wilson, pastor. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Johnsonburg. Friends will be received Thursday evening, Aug. 3 from 6-8 p.m. at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg.
